What to Expect from a Frogsong Bouquet
Whatever the size or occasion, each bouquet is carefully curated and harvested for peak freshness and longevity. All mechanics and packaging are compostable or recycled/reusable. Design principles are also considered when selecting color, form and textures, in order to create a lush, wild and beautiful ‘snapshot’ of what is happening in the gardens at any given point in the season.
Why hyper-local?
Over 70% of retail flowers in this country come from international imports, under heavy use of chemical preservatives and questionable labor practices. As a response to increasing awareness of this, more gardeners and flower farmers are working hard to supply their immediate local markets with a better option.
Frogsong Flowers is proud to be a part of the shift toward sustainable floristry and backyard habitat preservation. Home-grown, seasonal flowers are of better quality, last longer in the vase and are incredibly beautiful in both look and scent. Enjoy the difference, knowing you are supporting good changes, for both people and pollinators!
If the goal is to compete against a massive industry of imported flowers, then it's going to take every last one of us as small-scale growers to meet the needs in our local communities. And if a by-product of this shift is a thriving wildlife corridor peppered widely across urban and suburban spaces, then how is this not winning for everyone?
